There are complaints that there were few buyers, but also many exhibitors who responded with, “Well, the administration is almost over, so I don’t think we’ll be able to accomplish anything…” bad, bad, bad!
It seems that some still don’t fully understand the importance of tourism being apolitical and trans-administration.
Those who already knew the dynamics of these trade shows every 6 years prepared themselves, and did not seek direct appointments at their stands, but rather engaged in public relations from stand to stand, from cocktail to cocktail, and from chat to chat.
I want to highlight above all else, the great effort of our brothers and sisters in Acapulco, who despite the noticeable havoc of Hurricane Otis, have made superhuman efforts to move this paradise forward.
I was at a meal where a phrase was said that I would like to quote: “Hurricane Otis took everything, but it couldn’t take our wonderful bay, our people, their warmth, and their willingness to serve…”
Personally, I would emphasize these three points:
It was an end-of-administration trade show, it showed!
Once again, many missed the boat and got nothing out of the stroll…
As always, my port of Acapulco is wonderful.
Anyway, there’s tourism for days, there’s chat for days…
We’ll talk soon.
