Everything you need to know about the 2025 International Blues Festival in Pozos

On June 13 and 14, 2025, the magical town of Mineral de Pozos, Guanajuato, will once again come alive with deep notes, soul-stirring guitars, and voices born from raw emotion as the International Blues Festival in Pozos returns. This event has become a key date for blues lovers in Mexico and promises to exceed all expectations this year.

With an affordable entrance fee of 200 pesos per night and a venue straight out of a dream, the Antiguo Abasto de Pozos will transform into the stage for a musical journey that brings together artists from across the country and beyond. Starting at 6:00 p.m. each evening, the festival offers an emotional ride fueled by tradition, passion, and pure talent.

The first night will kick off with the powerful voice of Oralia, from Morelia, followed by the infectious energy of Juke Sons from Mexico City. Then it’s time for Beto’s Blues Band, a staple of the San Luis Potosí blues scene, followed by the sonic experimentation of Ensamble Ardiente, and a mesmerizing close by La Rambla from the State of Mexico.

The second night welcomes Marband and El Callejón del Blues, two Querétaro-based bands that have made blues a way of life. From Xochimilco, Blues Demons will electrify the stage, followed by the intimate and powerful performance of Juan Carlos Cortés, returning from Morelia. The grand finale will feature Sonia Astacio, all the way from Chicago, bringing the raw and authentic spirit of American blues to the heart of Mexico.

But this is more than just a festival. It’s an invitation to pause time, to wander cobblestone streets under the moonlight, to savor each note with a drink in hand, and to lose yourself in the story of a town reborn through music. “You and me at the International Blues Festival in Pozos… I don’t know, think about it!” is more than a slogan—it’s a call to live something unforgettable.

Mineral de Pozos isn’t just an ideal host because of its beauty and mysticism; it’s the perfect place for the blues to sound the way it was meant to: free, vibrant, and full of scars. In every performance, every round of applause, and every silence between songs, the spirit of the blues will find a new home.

See you in Pozos. The blues is waiting for you.
